Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 privacy-focused DNS service now available on iOS and Android

Cloudflare's DNS service, 1.1.1.1, has been available to the public since April of this year. Today, the service has launched as a mobile app on both Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Small Cloudflare iconCloudflare itself also promises to not collect this data, with the company enlisting the Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG) firm to provide annual auditing services and public reports to assure users of this fact.

According to Tom Warren at The Verge, 1.1.1.1 is currently the fastest available public DNS provider, so it may very well be worth testing on your smartphone to see if utilizing it results in faster web surfing.
