Parallels, one of the most notorious pieces of software for desktop virtualization, is now under new ownership.
Corel, the developer of software such as CorelDRAW Graphics Suite and Corel VideoStudio, has announced that it's acquiring the Parallels IP and its developers. The software that Corel now owns includes the following:
These, alongside every other piece of Parallels software, were acquired by Corel for an undisclosed amount of money. The only financial details disclosed were that Corel "plans significant investment" into the Parallels, with plans to release products on Android, Chromebooks, iOS, Linux kernel, macOS, Windows, and the cloud.
