Wikipedia has partnered with Google in order to use Google Translate to help with translating English articles into the over 300 other languages that the volunteer-driven free encyclopedia supports.
Google Translate has been directly integrated into Wikipedia's content translation tool. The Wikimedia Foundation states that this feature has been requested for a long time by several volunteer editing communities.
As for the licensing information and data privacy, Wikimedia stated the following:
Translations will be published under a free license that allows content to be integrated back into Wikipedia in line with our own licensing policies. No personal data will be shared with Google or Wikimedia as part of Google Translate’s integration into the content translation tool.
